Piyush Khandelwal and Rakhi Khandelwal

Piyush Khandelwal is not a religious scholar or a professional writer. He is a Chartered Accountant and entrepreneur who has spent more than two decades working in finance, consulting, and training.

His journey, however, has not been easy. In his early career, he faced deep challenges both in his job and personal life and even went through severe depression. Looking back, he often feels that if Krishna’s wisdom had been there to guide him then, he would have navigated those storms with much greater strength and clarity.

This book was born from that realization. What started as a small exercise to explain the Gita to the young kids in his family, grew into a heartfelt manuscript. In writing it, he discovered that Arjuna’s questions are the same questions we all face about fear, failure, comparison, and courage.

He writes in a simple, conversational style that makes the Gita feel like a friend speaking directly to us. The Gita Retold is his first book a personal offering to help the next generation meet life’s Kurukshetras with courage, clarity, and calm.
