Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThe book is a synthesis of the political reality of Manipur. It is a sequel to 'The Crescent Highlands and the Dark Rainbows', laying the historical groundwork and understanding of power and polity in Manipur that shape the Manipur that we know today. Drawing elements from tribal and traditional, it presents novel ideas rooted in Manipur's soul. And aims to encourage discussion hoping to find a place in schools and universities, to be studied and given the proper definition that it lacks. It hopes to form the foundation of a more effective and better structure that respects local specificities. It does not support secessionist ideas and believes in an evolving government using them as foundations. The critique is thought provoking and doesn't disregard or discredit any organization. As it is, in a democracy governance is often judged based on leadership, effectiveness, perception, stability and transparency - an ‘Ideal’ government.

I write about Manipur, her pain, her tragedy, her anguish, her dreams and hopes. I talk with her hills and trees, her orchids, her grasses and flowers, I whisper with her wind and float with her clouds and hum together with her rain. In her rocks and stones I etch memories and songs. In her valleys I whisper with her echoes. And In her forest I dream together with Manipur. In her pain and sorrow I bloom with her lilies in colors and colors and in her misery and tragedy I imitate and weave the movements of the Gods.
