Every morning, I used to take an auto to work. Just like the new day, it used to be a different auto and different driver every other day. Therefore, after completing my ride, never have I failed to confess my gratitude to the driver. Isn’t it my duty to pay the driver for his service?Similarly, I have always believed that confessing a heartfelt gratitude is my duty too.

Well, there were few remarkable drivers too who inspired me. I mean to say how they greeted me with a pleasant “Good Morning”. Then, there was a man who told me “Have a good day” after finishing my ride. Further, there was this man who was praying God at the auto-stand as the day begun. This God-fearing man was cheered up to see the first customer of the day and assured me of the safe ride that I had, even before we started. Did I mention about that man who fascinated me with optimistic quotes that he stuck on his vehicle?

Most importantly, I encountered this hefty gentleman with a gruff voice, who sensed that I was terribly sick and went on giving me a safe and smooth ride; also, reassured that I safely reached my place. There was an other gentleman whose face I vaguely remember except for his spectacles, on a dark night as I was traveling back tired from work. After dropping me, I was shocked to hear him charge me less than the usual fare. Immediately, I asked him why. For which he replied “I actually don’t feel like charging you because I see you like my daughter.” I was confused if I was emotional or stunned by this noble man.

Over and above, there were few drivers who were patient enough to pick me up pleasantly, in spite of my late arrival. Truly, I ran into a young beard wala, who was kind enough to enquire me if I had my breakfast, on seeing me run late. On a distinct day, I came across a genuine chap, also a cool dude ; who hurriedly finished his brunch that day, as I called him to take the ride. Though we traveled to a short-range, the fare must be minimum of 40 rupees, as I have taken similar rides to that place earlier. But, the interface displayed 1 rupee after finishing the ride, which was absolute shocking. I told him, there must be some technical issue and so I will pay how much ever he charges. He asked me to pay only one rupee, which was quite embarrassing. I also rechecked that I hadn’t availed any coupon. Finally, the man won over my huge respect for being dutiful.

These people are absolute strangers to me however they managed not only to inspire me but also to instill a good habit in me. It is something that happens to everyone out there. Howbeit, every single person brought a smile, few brought immense happiness and the others brought huge respect. After all, their little gestures matter the most to me.
