Ms. Anshul Kharbanda is a practitioner in Open and Distance Learning (ODL), and has first-hand experience of visiting various open schools/universities across the globe.
She played a key role in the Quality Review of Open School, Bangladesh Open University (OS-BOU) and was also instrumental in facilitating the development of gender policy for OS-BOU and Open School, National Institute of Education (NIE), Sri Lanka.
During her visit to Commonwealth of Learning (COL) in Canada (Vancouver) in 2018 and learnt about innovative schooling models.She visited Japan and learnt about their educational systems, primarily elementary and secondary school, segmentation of schooling and National curriculum standards. Enroute PCF-9 in 2019, she visited The Open University, Milton Keynes and Institute of Education, London to learn about their innovative practices and models.She visited Mauritius for the 11th and Fiji for the 12th World Hindi Conference in 2018 and 2023 respectively.
Besides learning about the education systems in these countries, she also had an opportunity to have a glimpse of the culture of these countries. She also authored the famous book- ‘Value Education for Sustainable Well-being’ in 2023.
She holds the Chair of the Asian Region of Commonwealth Open Schooling Association (COMOSA).
