The narrator is a busy school teacher, wife and mother. In an otherwise fulfilled life, her fascination with diamonds and her deep bond with a community dog, Raju, are parallel absorptions which get strangely entwined in a heart-touching tale of introspection.

Though born in Goa, the author studied to obtain a postgraduate degree from Mumbai and went on to settle in Hyderabad, Telangana.
She worked as a teacher for reputed schools in Hyderabad before retiring in 2019.
Her passion for writing manifested in immense opportunities to pen articles, scripts, speeches, etc., for the institutions where she worked.
Post retirement, she decided to use her creative instincts to write for the joy she derives from it and share the same with others.
The short story ‘My Solitaire in the Street’ is one such attempt.
