If Campfires Could Speak Short Stories

Author Name: Cindy Pereira | Format: Paperback | Genre : Literature & Fiction | Other Details

If campfires could speak, what yarns would they tell?

The tales in this book are simple—there are no hidden meanings or allegories to decipher. They are straightforward, as always. Some of the yarns have a theme of an ailing mother battling Alzheimer’s, mirroring the plight of the author’s own parent, whom she lost in the autumn of 2022. ‘Sarah-Ann Prescott, 'Froth,' and 'Nana's Gift' are three such stories.

Enjoy this book, share it or, if you will, leave it on a bench in a park or a station for someone else to find and read.

Cindy Pereira

Cindy Pereira, born and raised in Bangalore, India, prefers to be called a storyteller rather than a writer. Her love for making up stories began at a very young age when her dolls became the actors for scripts written in her mind. This turned to writing in middle school when she and her best friend hand-wrote stories for each other, complete with binding and cover pages. Some of her stories spark from life events, and some are just yarns.

She loves to participate in short story competitions and has won several, both internationally and in India.

Cindy has a Master’s Degree in English Literature and loves to trek, run and ‘catch the sun.’ She is married and lives with her husband in Bangalore.
