Pets! They take up so much space in our hearts. What started with a desire to avoid a dog as a pet, ended up with nine furry, mischievous and highly individualistic bunnies. I can end up doing a thesis on rabbit behavior and their eating schedules and habits and care about them too, right from baby to toddler to adolescent to adulthood. Rabbitales –Tales of the Naughty Munchkins is my juvenile attempt at converting my thrill and delight with my bunnies – my adorable Munchkins – into a storybook.
It is said, once a teacher, always a teacher. The imagination and the pure joy of writing about their hilarious and often full-of-naughtiness antiques ended up getting an alphabet lesson incorporated into it. That came from being both a teacher and a firm believer in the fact that if a child picks up a book, in between its cover should lie a huge world of unexplored, explorable. My Munchkins play their part in my maiden venture. My paintbrush captures both their charm and my desire to dabble in watercolor after almost two decades. I hope others find my passion worth a pick-up and a keepsake.

Anjali Gupta
Anjali Gupta has been an educationist for a long time. After a journey of more than three decades through the Indian education landscape, she feels it has brought in a sense of calm and acceptance within her; a calm about understanding where her influence starts and where it ends and doing focused work in this field with clear goals in mind; an acceptance that small steps and one drop at a time are both mutually beneficial actions for larger sustainability.
She has had her education at some of the finest institutions in India such as Presentation Convent, Srinagar; St. Anns, Secunderabad; Army School, Tezpur, Assam; and Panjab University, Chandigarh. They have shaped her perspective about what students want from their teachers. She has held numerous honorary and other leadership roles in her illustrious career which, she says, have been due to sheer hard work, correct work attitude and a passion driving her on. Ms. Gupta’s attempt at being an author started purely by accident. After the first ‘accidental’ attempt, came a more informed one for her second book. Her third reaches out to young audiences.
