Sarath Kumar Pachayil

Mr. Sarath Kumar Pachayil, an Indian-born aviation criminologist from Kerala, is the son of Mr. Suresh Kumar and Ms. Sherly Suresh. He is married to Ms. Chandralekha Sarath and blessed with two daughters, Ms. Kizasha Sarath and Ms. Zasheph Sarath. With nearly one and a half decades of experience in global aviation training and airport operations, he has served in key roles across several international airlines and airports. Currently, he is the Executive Director of Acsendia Aerospace, Dubai.

During his extensive career, Mr. Pachayil identified critical inadequacies in conventional air accident investigation methods. Realizing that traditional psychological and criminal investigation approaches were insufficient to uncover the deeper causes behind aviation incidents, he discovered a crucial gap — a “blind spot” in aviation safety research. To bridge this, he introduced Aviation Criminology, a revolutionary new discipline that integrates criminological and psychological principles into aviation investigation, marking the birth of a new era in global aviation studies.
