On a storm-soaked night, a collision alters the course of two families. A four-year-old girl, Sia, loses her parents and her sight, and is lovingly raised by the Deshmukhs, while the Vashishthas carry their own scars from the same accident.
Years later in Pune, fate brings Sia and Sam Vashishtha into each other’s lives. Their apartments face each other, their windows becoming mirrors of longing, laughter, and wordless connection. Through poetry, glances, and small gestures, love blossoms quietly between them.
But when the truth of the past resurfaces, and with it, family expectations and unspoken debts- Sia must confront her gratitude to the parents who raised her and her right to choose love freely.

                                         Sonali Deshmukh
Sonali is a poet first and a storyteller second. For years, she has written poems about love, loss, and the many emotions that make us human; her verses capturing the delicate balance of longing and hope. Her debut novel, Between Two Windows-A Poignant Symphony, grew out of those poems, weaving them into a story of silence, resilience, and choice.
She has always carried a deep love for English literature, drawing inspiration from the timeless works of William Wordsworth and Shakespeare. Their influence shines in her couplets and in the lyrical threads of her prose.
When she isn’t writing, she finds joy in conversations over coffee, quiet reflections by the window, and the everyday poetry of family life. She lives with her husband and daughter, who remain her greatest muses, and with a heart that still believes words can take us places no map ever could.
