Anjana Simha
Anjana Simha has completed her M.Sc. in Food Science & Nutrition from Mount Carmel College (Autonomous), Bengaluru and is UGC NET qualified. She is a Life member of Indian Dietetics Association (IDA) and presented a paper based on her PG dissertation work in IDA conference which secured the first place. She along with her mentor has published this work in an international journal covered by Scopus. Currently she is working as a freelance Nutrition Consultant.
Her passion for Sanskrit led her into pursuing M.A. in Sanskrit from Karnataka State Open University, Mukthagangotri, Mysuru and she secured second rank along with a cash prize. Being a believer in Ancient Indian Scriptures, her interest motivated her to complete an online course on “Introduction to Ayurvedic Dietetics” jointly held by the IDA, Bangalore Chapter and TDU, Bengaluru. She has completed short online courses on Śrīmad Bhagavad-Gītā and Bhakti Yoga conducted by ISKCON Chennai. An opportunity given by Dr. Jyothirmayi PC, Associate Professor and HOD of Dept. of Sanskrit, Mount Carmel College (Autonomous), Bengaluru to conduct interdisciplinary courses, helped her in designing and conducting short courses and led her to the path of becoming a budding author. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and has completed Alankar Poorna examination from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai and Post Vidwath exam from Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University.
