Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalBorn in Thiruvananthapuram, where destinies were written in stars, Varun was raised to follow prophecy. But the sea—wild and merciless—taught him another way: storms bow to no horoscope, and survival depends on intuition, not fate.
PARAMATMA is the odyssey of a sailor who traded superstition for choice, and prophecy for freedom—a journey through storms and stars that mirrors the voyage every soul must take.

Varun Gopal, born in Thiruvananthapuram, is a graduate in Nautical Science and has been sailing as a Navigation Officer on foreign-going ships since 2010. The horizon is both his workplace and his teacher.
Raised in a family where astrology shaped every decision, and guided by a grandmother revered as an astrologer, Varun grew up caught between faith, superstition, and his own devotion to Lord Shiva. This tension sparked a deeper quest into the mysteries of destiny, life, and liberation.
For Varun, the sea offered solitude, the sky raised questions, and devotion gave strength. His journey revealed that the truest Guru is not found outside, but within—the eternal source that speaks through intuition.
This book is his odyssey: a sailor’s search for meaning in the silent dialogue between man and the cosmos.
