Dr. J. Logamanya Tilak serves as an Assistant Professor in Zoology, Madras Christian College. He is specialized in Wetland Ecology with most of his research in Pulicat Lake on taxonomy, ecological succession, artificial reefs and restoration. He has 21 years teaching experience and 25 years of research experience, currently guiding research scholars working on biofoulers, bioaccumulation and climate change. Having completed research projects funded by DST, DBT, UBCHEA and WWF, he has published a few research articles and book chapters and has served as resource person on wetlands and restoration. He is also the coordinator of the Pulicat Estuarine Biological Research Centre (MCC PEBRC) in Pulicat.
