Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalWhat happens when a state long synonymous with despair begins to dream again?
In this powerful and deeply personal narrative, Nitish Mishra—seasoned policymaker, reform-driven minister, and grassroots leader—chronicles Bihar’s extraordinary two-decade transformation from dysfunction to development. The journey was nothing short of a collective mission—to pull Bihar out of the shadows of a dark regime and steer it toward light, dignity, and purpose. It was a determined march against odds, reclaiming what was lost and restoring the state's pride.
With vivid storytelling, firsthand accounts, and honest reflections, Bihar Hai Taiyar reveals how visionary leadership, administrative reform, and people-centric governance reshaped the destiny of one of India’s most challenged states.
From crumbling infrastructure and lawlessness in the 1990s to the era of Sushasan under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Mishra offers a ringside view of Bihar’s revival through landmark initiatives and innovations. As both witness and architect of change, he provides rare insights into what it truly takes to rebuild public trust and create systems that serve the people.
And today, Bihar stands at the cusp of a new chapter. It is ready to rise. It has everything: the energy and enterprise of its people, the abundance of resources, and above all, the vision and political leadership aligned with the Central Government—ensuring that Bihar’s aspirations are in sync with the nation’s development goals.
More than a chronicle of governance, this book is a tribute to the resilience of Biharis, the spirit of public service, and the unwavering belief that with integrity and purpose, even the most broken systems can be transformed.
