Dr. Moon Jana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Asutosh College under the University of Calcutta. She completed her Graduation and Post-Graduation from Siliguri College and Visva Bharati (Central University).
A UGC NET scholar, she earned her PhD on Environment Reporting of Print Media from Visva Bharati, Santiniketan. She has published in national and international journals and contributed book chapters. She has worked with reputed institutions including University of Kalyani and Jadavpur University.
Previously, she was with All India Radio for over 15 years. She actively collaborates with environmental organizations and writes both academic and non-academic articles. Her research interests include environment reporting, climate literacy, media literacy, and community radio.
Dr. Shourini Banerjee is an Assistant Professor in Visual Communication and Head of Costume Design and Fashion at The American College, Madurai. She also coordinates BVoc/MVoc Media Technology programs and teaches at Jain University Online and XIM, Odisha.
With over 10 years of experience, she completed her PhD on “Gender and Masculinity in Television Commercials” in 2019. She has 47 publications including Scopus-indexed articles and has presented 25 papers.
Her areas of focus include Communication and Media Research, Media Literacy, Advertisements, and Gender Studies. A certified FACTSHALA trainer, she has conducted 32 workshops across India.
